KUHN machines available for latest FETF grant funding
The latest round of grant funding through the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) will open for new applications and there are several KUHN models that are eligible. The funding can support farmers with up to 50% of the purchase cost for qualifying items.
Thirty years ago, the VENTA pneumatic seed drills made their debut in the fields. They made agricultural history by offering a revolutionary, compact tool capable of working the soil and seeding in a single pass. Over the years, these seed drills have evolved, and the range has expanded to meet changing agricultural practices. Today, they continue to be passed down from generation to generation, creating many shared moments and memories.
In 1963, Dutchman Piet Zweegers jr. made an important invention: the cyclo mower, or drum mower. It would change the haymaking world forever! Today, the PZ drum mower, named after its inventor, is still being produced and developed at KUHN-Geldrop in the Netherlands. Of course, in a further evolved version.
KUHN Farm Machinery will return to LAMMA for the first time in five years, showcasing an extensive range of products and innovations, with several models making debuts at the show.
The new reference
The world of farming is changing and cultivation methods are becoming more diverse: crop rotation, the use of multi-species cover crops, spot fertilisation, simultaneous stubble cultivation and seeding etc. The new, universal front hopper, TF 2300 C, when coupled to a seed drill, precision seed drill, or stubble cultivator, makes it possible to adapt to these new practices.
A versatile and user-friendly solution
The range of new ESPRO 1002 (R) seed drills, replacing the ESPRO 1000 (R), consists of four models: two rigid models of 3.00 and 4.00 meters (ESPRO 3002 and 4002) and two folding models of 4 .00 and 6.00 meters (ESPRO 4002 R and 6002 R). They are long range tools: 2,500 litres for the 3.00-meter version and 3,500 litres for the 4.00 to 6.00 meter versions.
A new pre-cutting disc with trash-remover is now available on the MAXIMA 3 single-grain seed drill. With its 180 kg of ground pressure capacity, the MAXIMA 3 seed drill can now perform in "no-till" or direct seeding conditions that do not require more ground pressure. Adding the pre-cutting disc option enables the seed drill to penetrate the soil better and maintain seeding depth, particularly in uneven conditions.
KUHN will attend EIMA International 2024 in Bologna, the most important international exhibition for agricultural machinery in Italy, with many new products and services. Main focus of KUHN’s presence at EIMA is ‘connectivity and high machine performance’, as well as the great operator comfort and ease of use of our solutions.
The FB 3130 is the next KUHN baler featuring the patented* TWIN-reel film binding system. This fixed chamber round baler is ideally suited to farmers who produce their own baled silage. They now can benefit from all the advantages of this unique system: lowest film costs, highest forage quality, and easy opening of the bales with minimal feed losses.
A tilt correction system that aligns the working angle of the plough to maximise the available tractor power and increase work rates is part of several updated features on KUHN Farm Machinery’s MULTI-LEADER XT plough range.
