ESPRO 1002 R/RC: precision seeding, from metering to planting
ESPRO 1002 R and RC trailed min-till seed drills take seeding precision to the next level. With five models to choose from, with working widths from 3 to 6 metres and single-hopper (R) or double-hopper (RC) versions, they are suited to many different cropping strategies. The new OPTISEED metering units with cassettes and a pressurised pneumatic distribution circuit ensure precise metering and uniform distribution. Designed with high-output capacities, low pull-power requirements, and operating simplicity, these machines are ideal for farms looking for high productivity, versatility, and efficiency.

OPTISEED: new generation metering precision
OPTISEED metering units with cassettes provide metering precision and operating simplicity. They are designed to meet the requirements of high output operations and to manage mixed seeds and fertilisers with very different properties, precisely and uniformly, across a wide range of cropping practices. The pressurised pneumatic distribution circuit contributes to keeping the same level of precision all the way to the seeding unit. The distribution heads are positioned very close to the seeding units which also contributes to uniform sowing across the whole working width.

CROSSFLEX: uniform sowing at high speeds
The CROSSFLEX seeding bar was designed for precision seeding, even at high speeds. It features large-diameter double discs (350 mm), bevelled and offset by 41 mm, that open the furrow evenly in dry conditions and plant residues. The seeding units are stabilised by polyurethane mounts fitted to an exclusive cross piece, which provides excellent working stability. In combination with the coulter pressure of up to 120 kg, this concept contributes to maintaining constant seeding depths.

Half-width shut-off: precision even in field points
With two metering units per hopper and two or four distribution heads, depending on the model, the new ESPRO seed drills feature half-width shut-off as standard. This feature shuts half the machine off automatically and with precision, taking product transfer time (entered into the terminal by the user) between the metering units and seeding units, into account. This configuration reduces seeding overlaps and missed areas, particularly in uneven plots and field points.

ESPRO RC: multipurpose tools serving agriculture
ESPRO 1002 seed drills come in single-hopper (R) or double-hopper (RC) versions, so can adapt to many different cropping strategies. The RC models make it possible to work with different products at the same time. In Single Shot mode, the products are mixed and placed in the same seeding line. In Double Shot mode, they are planted separately at two different depths. This versatility facilitates targeted fertilisation as well as sowing companion crops and cover crops.

Performance and simplicity
ESPRO 1002 R/RC seed drills have been designed to make the user's life easier. The GO & END function manages headland turns automatically following a pre-programmed sequence. The ISOBUS control system and hydraulic settings enable the machine to adapt to working conditions easily. In addition, the hopper access platform, half-open mode and fast-change OPTISEED cassettes save time spent on loading and preparing the seed drill. These are machines designed for grerater operating comfort and efficiency as well as input control.

Low power requirement
The specific design of the press wheelset helps limit the seed drill’s pull-power requirement. The large-diameter wheels (900 mm) are staggered in two rows. This prevents the "bulldozer" effect and reduces running resistance. The wheels are narrow which allows soil and residues to pass in between more easily, and the tyres have a square tread which ensures uniform seedbed tamping. The result: fuel consumption under control, low pull-power requirement and high work output.
