MEGANT RS: the flexibility of a front hopper, the hallmark of a MEGANT

New MEGANT 602 RS, 722 RS and 802 RS seed drills now complete the MEGANT range of min-till seed drills with tines. In combination with the TF 2300 C front hopper, they complement MEGANT R models with integrated hopper, offering a new configuration that optimises weight distribution and makes it possible to use the same equipment with different machines on the farm. With working widths from 6 to 8 metres, MEGANT RS seed drills offer the same great advantages that have made the range so successful: versatility, low power requirement, high output and control over operating costs.

Protecting the plot

In combination with a TF 2300 C front hopper, MEGANT RS seed drills optimise load distribution between the tractor’s front and rear axles. This reduces soil compaction, particularly in wet conditions, and makes seedling emergence more uniform all over the plot. This seeding configuration improves the stability of the tractor-seed drill combination, increases the pull-power of the axles and makes the job easier for medium-sized tractors.

Optimising seeds

MEGANT RS seed drills have a half-width shut-off feature, as standard, thanks to the front hopper being equipped with two metering units per tank and the seed drill having two distribution heads. The half-width shut-off function reduces overlapping in field points and uneven areas, so seeds are not wasted. The distribution heads are positioned very closely to the seeding units which also makes seed delivery more uniform across the entire working width.

High productivity, low costs

MEGANT RS seed drills come in working widths from 6 to 8 meters, meeting the requirements of farms looking for high output. The 7.20-m model facilitates 36-m tramlining while the 8-m version allows you to reach working speeds of up to 8 ha/hour. The light design and low power requirement of these tools help reduce fuel consumption and operting costs. The robust seeding tines require no maintenance, making them a cost-effective solution for min-till jobs.

The hallmark of MEGANT versatility

Designed to work in a wide range of plot conditions, MEGANT RS seed drills boast the same versatility that has made the rest of the range so successful. With widely-spaced tines positioned in four rows, they pass through plant residues and wet and stony soil with ease. The tines and front gauge wheel ensure precise ground following and constant seeding depths. The TF 2300 C front hopper is compatible with different KUHN machines, optimising investments on the farm.
