BIO Baler-Wrapper combination: 25 years on top
For 25 years, the BIO baler-wrapper combination has been setting new standards in forage harvesting. Built around the innovative Bale-In-One concept, this machine carries out baling and wrapping at the same location. The result is a highly compact and lightweight design that has earned its reputation worldwide. And the KUHN BIO continues to deliver consistent, high-quality bales.

A proven all-in-one solution for baling and wrapping
One pass, two operations
BIO is short for Bale-In-One, meaning baling and wrapping are seamlessly combined into a single process. Thanks to the integrated wrapper, there is no need to move the bale between operations. This saves time, reduces handling and preserves forage quality. Now known as the i-BIO+, this baler-wrapper combination is exceptionally compact, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre.
Bringing baling and wrapping together in one machine was a major step at the time. It allows operators to simplify their workflow and work more efficiently, particularly in conditions where logistics are more challenging.

High-speed wrapping
The BIO baler-wrapper wraps the bale immediately after baling, without any transfer. The bale chamber doubles as a wrapping table, while a high-speed wrapping ring with two integrated pre-stretchers applies the film in just 18 seconds for 6 layers. The wrapped bale is then gently unloaded, ensuring fast, smooth and efficient operation.
Optimised forage quality at lower costs
The i-BIO+ is designed to maximise forage quality while keeping operating costs low. The patented* TWIN-reel film binding system uses standard stretch film to reduce film consumption and improve silage protection. With INTELLIWRAP, operators can easily select both even and odd numbers of film layers, allowing wrapping to be adapted to crop conditions and storage requirements.
*Patent or patent pending in one or more countries.
Performance proven worldwide
Its design makes the BIO ideally suited for hilly terrain, narrow plots and wet field conditions. At the same time, it is increasingly chosen by farmers working in standard conditions, who appreciate it as a baler-wrapper combination with a strong price-performance ratio.
