Square & Round Bale Wrappers

Perfectly wrapped bales combined with a high output and outstanding durability guarantee KUHN wrappers to be a profitable investment. KUHN brings cost efficient, ecologic and ergonomic bale wrapping solutions with a complete range of reliable square and round bale wrappers. The KUHN SW square and round bale wrappers are available as mounted or trailed versions. Depending on the model, medium square bales, large square bales and round bales can be wrapped.

SW 1114

The KUHN SW 1114 is a 3-point linkage mounted, quick-hitch compatible model ideal for 'wrap and stack' operations in the field or in the yard. Wrapping at the storage site means less risk of film damage. A well-suited combination for a one-man wrapping operation.

SW 1614

The KUHN SW 1614 is a trailed, self-loading wrapper suited perfectly for operations where high capacity and high efficiency are required. The wrapper can be manually or computer controlled, to best meet your operation’s needs.

SW 4014

KUHN introduces a true innovation in bale wrapping with the SW 4014. This versatile self-loading square and round bale wrapper features a unique patented non-stop fully automatic wrapping function.

Square bale wrappers – SW range

KUHN has three bale wrappers capable of wrapping both round and square bales. The SW 1114, SW 1614 and flagship SW 4014, can wrap different sized bales with varying levels of technology and output.

The largest KUHN SW 4014 can wrap large and medium square bales, along with round bales, up to a maximum of 1500kg per bale. Pre-set bale dimensions can be selected in the terminal and no mechanical adjustment is required to change bale size or shape.

An essential feature of the SW 4014 is AUTOLOAD, allowing non-stop automatic loading, wrapping, and unloading of bales. This reduces operator fatigue and increases capacity compared with manual operation. AUTOLOAD uses a laser sensor to detect the bale position and length as it approaches. The loading arms then move into position and activate, depending on the driving speed, to load the bale in the centre of the rollers. Wrapping then begins as the operator drives to the next bale.

Further to this, the SW 4014 features INTELLIWRAP to control film overlap and layers to match crop conditions and storage. Wrap layers can be changed between 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 layers and maintains efficient film placement regardless of layers. If the operator requires 5 layers of film, the first 3 layers will overlap by 67% and the last two layers will overlap by 50%. Minimising impurities is essential to maximise forage quality, improve palatability and reduce spoilage.

Controlling the SW 4014 is through an ISOBUS, either via an ISBOUS compatible tractor or through KUHN’s CCI 800 or 1200 monitors. All settings are accessed via ISOBUS such as setting the machine into work mode and selecting bale dimensions, while bale numbers are recorded in the screen.
