KUHN sponsored the Contractor Innovator award at the British Farming Awards 2021. The award was won by farmer and sheep dipping contractor Neil Fell whose business has ballooned since he began in 2013. Mr Fell shares KUHN’s passion for innovation and won the award for his mobile sheep dipping service and innovative new hydraulic dipping machine. He is not a stranger to KUHN machines and has used KUHN mowers, balers and bedders on his family farm in County Durham.
KUHN is offering significant incentives to farmers looking to embrace more precision led spraying methods. “The ‘stamp out soil compaction’ campaign has been launched to demonstrate how the right choice of tyres and maintaining tyre pressures can help to minimise soil compaction. The first machinery test used a KUHN Optimer XL 5000 to show how reducing pressures by almost half the recommended road inflation reduced soil compaction and improved the operating efficiency of the tractor and the cultivator.
