Featuring working widths from 6 to 8 metres and a 1,800-litre hopper capacity, the seed drills in the MEGANT range have a long operating range and a high work output. Owing to their light design, their power requirement is low. As such, tractors from 150 hp, 180 hp, and 200 hp are sufficient for the MEGANT 602 R, MEGANT 722 R and MEGANT 802 R respectively. Indeed, being fast seed drills and low fuel consumers, they provide a good solution to current environmental and economic issues. They are also highly versatile, allowing to seed in wet and stony conditions as well as in plant residues.

Optimum work output and controlled costs

With 6.00, 7.20, and 8.00-metre working widths, MEGANT seed drills can work fast. The 1,800-litre hopper can contain up to 1,200 kg of wheat, giving the machine a very long operating range. The distribution head and seed-delivery tubes are on the outside of the hopper, meaning the hopper capacity corresponds to the actual volume of seeds it can contain.

No more stops even in plant residues

The tines on MEGANT mounted min-till seed drills are staggered in 4 rows spaced 40 cm apart. This configuration makes it easier to work in plant residues. Any risk of clogging is reduced to a minimum. To change seeding depth, simply move the adjustment pin.

An additional hopper for more opportunities

MEGANT seed drills can be equipped with the optional SH 1120 additional hopper with a capacity of 110 litres. This option makes it possible to seed two varieties, of cover crops for example, at the same time, or to sow and spread fertiliser in a single pass! The desired rate is injected into the flow of the main metering unit. The products are then mixed and delivered into the same seeding line.

Performance ease and speed

The distribution head on MEGANT seed drills is equipped with VISTAFLOW valves to carry out 2 x 2-row tramlining. Half-width shut-off, of the left side of the seed drill, is also an available option for symmetrical tramlining.

Gain in flexibility without impacting quality

The tines on MEGANT mounted min-till seed drills are fitted to an exclusive star-shaped beam with four polyurethane mounts. This special concept ensures perfect stability, regular seeding depth and a vertical travel range of 15 cm, if required to clear obstacles. The design of MEGANT seed drills promotes fast and great-quality seeding, including in plant residues. All these great features contribute to the versatility of MEGANT seed drills which are also capable of seeding in difficult conditions such as wet or dry soil, ploughed or min-tilled land.

Three types of seeding tines available

Seed drills in the MEGANT range can be equipped with reversible forward pointing coulters, straight coulters, or 12 mm thin tines. The reversible coulters ensure great soil penetration due to their forward pointing design. They are particularly suited to working on tilled land. The straight coulters are ideal for stony plots, and the 12 mm thin and robust tines penetrate the soil beautifully without displacing the soil or plant residues in the seeding line too much, to preserve the soil’s humidity. Layout regularity over 4 rows provides plenty of space to facilitate passage for these thin tines in plant residues or stony soil, and they require very little maintenance.

The secret to improved soil/seed contact

MEGANT seed drills can be equipped with a covering harrow and press wheels. The weight is distributed over the front wheels, which bear the weight of the hopper, and the rear press wheels. The latter follow ground contours independently of tractor movements to ensure regular seeding depths, even on very hilly terrain. The press wheels are mounted on silent blocks which makes obstacle clearance easier, when necessary. They are preceded by the covering harrow which is designed to close the furrow beautifully. This improves seed/soil contact resulting in optimum crop emergence.

Perfect cover ideal for high-speed seeding

For a perfect finish, these seed drills can be equipped with a double covering harrow. This double harrow features two rows of flexible tines to close the furrow, cover the seeds, and level out the soil perfectly. The trailing-tine design makes it easier to pass through straw and plant residues.

Benefit from the ISOBUS compatibility

Do you have an ISOBUS tractor? If so, opt for an ISOBUS CCI 60, CCI 800, or CCI 1200 terminal, or any other ISOBUS terminal already on the farm.
AEF-certified ISOBUS terminals CCI 60, CCI 800 and CCI 1200 have three priorities: performance, visibility and flexibility. The CCI 60, with a 5.7’’/14.5 cm colour touch screen and 12 backlit keys, for easy access to the ISOBUS machine’s functions, is so simple to use. The CCI 800 and 1200 terminals are equipped with a large anti-glare screen. They allow the simultaneous display of important information on one screen. They have many other features too, such as automatic seeding shut-off by GPS (TC-SC), application rate modulation (TC-GEO), and the possibility of transferring data to the farm software via agrirouter, etc.

Everything within reach!

The distribution head and seed-delivery tubes are on the outside of the hopper. This configuration makes it easier to fill and clean, and is it very practical when changing seeds, for instance! The 1,800-litre hopper has a large opening (135 * 85 cm) and a ladder to access it. The metering unit is ideally positioned for proceeding more easily to a calibration test.

A powerful blower driven by an independent hydraulic circuit

MEGANT seed drills are equipped with a hydraulic blower that is independent from the tractor's PTO. Hence, blower speed is not impacted by variations in engine speed. There are many benefits to this: easier adjustment of blower speed, a constant flow of seeds to the seeding units, and fuel savings.

The compact ISOBUS terminal!

The CCI 800 ISOBUS terminal certified by the AEF features a 8"/20.3 cm screen. Essential information is displayed with a main view and mini-views on the side. Click on the mini-view you wish to enlarge it. It is able to offer the same applications than the CCI 1200 terminal. Among the most innovating applications, it performs Section Control, application rate modulation from maps or biomass sensors and guidance assistance, all from GPS data. For seed drills, it also manages tramlining automatically. Connecting one or two video cameras increases comfort of use.

Just what you need!

Particularly simple and intuitive, the VT 30 terminal equipped with a 3.5“/7.6 cm color touch screen combines numerous functions: monitoring of the metering unit and drive wheel rotation, automatic tramline control by rhythm : symmetrical or asymmetrical, hopper low level alarm, hectare counter and calibration test assistance.

All the information on one screen!

The ISOBUS CCI 1200 terminal certified by the AEF focuses on three priorities: performance, visibility and flexibility. It allows you to intuitively control your machines thanks to its large 12.1"/30.5 cm anti-reflective touch screen. All the information essential during work can be displayed in different formats (vertical, horizontal, maxi-view, mini-view, double UT...) Among its most innovative applications, it performs Section Control, application rate modulation from maps and guidance assistance, all from GPS data. It also manages tramlines automatically. The connection of one or two video cameras increases comfort of use.

Precise tracking in the field

Side markers are available as optional equipment. They fold rearwards and are fitted with a safety in the event of hitting an obstacle as well as adjustment by lower stop.

Is your soil light?

For seeding in light soils and with a significant difference in level, you can benefit from twin wheels on the central carrying wheels or on all carrying wheels. A real asset for controlling seeding depth in these conditions.

For increased seeding depth evenness

MEGANT seed drills can be equipped with a hydraulic levelling blade, as an option, to ensure perfectly constant seeding depths.
