MASTER DRIVE GIII gearbox: reliable and wear-resistant

Today, farm machinery must work more and more hectares and withstand ever higher forces. Machine reliability and durability are the key to meet the requirements of users in terms of work output. The MASTERDRIVE GIII gearboxes have been developed to provide full protection of the drive components and improve wear resistance. This design ensures exceptional reliability and durability even for intensive use.
It includes a double reduction system with a bevel gear and a cylindrical gear. Bevel-reduction tolerances are tightly controlled making the system extremely reliable and robust, even in difficult conditions.
Gearbox wear is greatly reduced and no maintenance is required. The double reduction system makes it possible to include larger cylindrical gears with more teeth for better power transmission.

Robust attachments

The MASTER DRIVE GIII gearbox has been designed to cope with ever increasing stress on the drive mainly due to: Increasing working widths and rotor diameters, raking heavier crops such as silage, haylage, straw and hay.
  • Important components have been strengthened to make the rotors lighter yet more robust:
  • Aluminium housings.
  • Optimised cam track to reduce forces on the roller.
  • Larger diameter roller to reduce rotation speed and pressure on the cam.
  • Tine arms with large diameter bearings.

    A well formed swath thanks to double-curved tine arms

    Swath formation: the benefit of double-curved arms

    The homogeneous quality and volume of the swath are conditions for fast drying and easy pick-up by the following baler.
    The tine arms on GA rakes are in hyper-tangential position. This means that they reach a 90 degree angle very late. With the tines' sharp-angled cam, tine clearance is quick, later and requires little rotational effort to produce regular, fluffy and straight swaths. Raking is of high quality even at high speeds because the forage is not pushed past the swath.
    The advantages of double-curved arms:
    • They reduce the distance between tine passes. Forage loss is reduced to a minimum, even at high speeds.
    • The main weight is at the centre of the tine arm. This increases service life as it is not subject to pressure during rotation and the guide rollers are less subject to stress.

    Protecting plant stubble

    Perfect rotor adaption to variations in the field is just as important as reduced ground pressure when it comes to protecting the ground and plant stubble.
    Single rotor rakes are fully equipped to meet these requirements.
    Each rotor is equipped with four wheels in tandem positioned extremely close to the rotor for optimised contour following on uneven plots.

    Passing over swaths without damaging them

    To pass over swaths without damaging them, GA 8731 and GA 9531 rakes feature a suitably high headland turn position. In addition, the rotors can be tilted individually up to 40 degrees with more than 75 cm of clearance possible if required.
    So there's no need to worry about formed swaths when you pass over them.

    GA 7631 and GA 8131: customizable with several options

    Customize your machine with many optional equipment adapted to your farm:
    • Benefit from individual left and right rotor lift
    • Benefit from individual hydraulic setting of the rotor height
    • Choose the KGA 01S electronic control box to monitor the previous options
    • Reduce soil compaction with the large wheels.
    • Selecting the tandem axle with six wheels closest to the tines on the rear rotor will ensure optimum ground following.

    GA 8731 + and GA 9531 + : choose the one you need

    With the KGA 02C, control the following functions:
    • Changing from work to transport position and vice versa.
    • Adjusting swath width.
    • Optional individual rotor lift to facilitate work in field points.Ê
    To adjust raking height you have a crank handle. A standard scale makes adjustment easier.
    You can also control individual rotor lift as an option.
    The KGA 11C features the following additional functions:
    • Hydraulic adjustment of working height.
    • Individual rotor lift to facilitate work in field points.

    Safety when travelling and compactness for transport

    In transport position, the exclusive STABILIFT system of the GA 8731 and GA 9531 locks rotor movements hydraulically. The machine's stability is considerably improved during transport on roads of poor quality, but also when crossing over windrows.
    A highly useful asset: the transport height of the GA 7631, GA 8131 and GA 8731 is below 4.00 m without having to remove tine arms. As for the GA 9531, only 3 tine arms need to be removed per rotor.
    On the GA 7631 and GA 8131, three tine arms can also be removed to further lower the machine height for storage.
