Within the context of environmental protection, new regulations have been introduced for seeding with a pneumatic precision seed drill. During seeding, dust caused by the insecticide on coated seeds must be channeled and directed onto the ground to limit dust emissions. All pneumatic Precision seed drills are concerned by this new regulation. It is therefore mandatory to use a dust containment system for all seeding involving seeds coated with insecticide.
These dust containment systems have been validated by the Julius-Kuhn Institute at Braunschweig, Germany.
Dust containment kits (ADS Kit) have been mounted as standard on Maxima 2 and Planter 3 seed drills since 1st July. Machines in service can be retrofitted with these.
