The KUHN RM range of heavy-duty foldable shredders is suitable for large scale crop residue shredding, field margin maintenance and mechanical weed control operations.
Available in 4.8 metre and 6.1 metre working widths, the RM machines are robust in construction with double skinned hoods, and are designed for tractors in the 140 to 260hp power range.
Knives are aligned in eight rows on the large diameter rotor in a helical pattern. This arrangement combines to provide a high linear tool speed for quality shredding and a good residue suction effect. Cutting height is controlled either by four semi-pivoting wheels or by two rollers with removable ends. The floating position of each half of the shredder ensures good ground following.
Folding into the transport position is achieved by means of two hydraulic cylinders. A mechanical lock secures the shredding units in the transport position of added safety.
