Kuhn’s GF 10802 T Gyrotedder with a power requirement of just 70 hp was demonstrated at Grassland & Muck 2011 for the first time to exemplify a new range of high capacity trailed tedders for smaller tractors.
This 10.8 metre machine is the largest in a family of four machines, which starts with the 7.7 metre GF 7702 T.
Kuhn offers three models with relatively small diameter rotors in this range (GF 7702 T, GF 10802 T and the 8.7 metre GF 8702 T). The smaller rotors provide the best configurations for crop drying speed, ground following and prevention of crop impurities. One larger rotor model (GF 7802 T) is recommended for tedding longer strand forage crops.
All models in the range fold down to 3 metre for transport, with the small rotor models having the added advantage of reduced height when folded (3.3m for the GF 10802 T). An hydraulically operated oblique setting (to left or right) allows efficient working at field edges and on sloping ground.
As with all Kuhn Gyrotedders, models in this new trailed tedder range all feature the patented Digidrive multiple finger coupling rotor drive system. This facility ensures a consistent drive to all rotors, even on uneven ground, compact folding, and reduced maintenance and risk of damage.
