Triple gang disc mower
Kuhn is extending its straight disc mower range with the launch of the GMD 8730, a triple combination with a working width up to 8.75 metres.
Combining one front mounted 3.1 metre unit and two rear mounted units, the combination operates with Kuhn’s Lift-Control hydro-pneumatic suspension system for excellent ground following and has non-stop safety whereby the mowing units pivot to the rear on contact with an obstacle before automatically returning to work.
The GMD 8730 also has Kuhn’s Optidisc cutter bar design (for enhanced cutting quality and rapid crop evacuation) and the Protectadrive gear train protection system. The model is also fitted as standard with fast fit blades.
Square bale wrapper
In the square bale wrapper range, Kuhn will show for the first time at Grassland 2011 its top-of-the-range self-loading SW 4004.
The SW 4004 large square bale wrapper is capable of wrapping square bales up to (W x H x L) 120cm x 140cm x 200cm including double bales. In addition round bales can be wrapped up to a maximum diameter of 150cm. This machine is ISOBUS compatible, so ISOBUS compatible tractors do not require a separate terminal for the wrapper. Alternatively, Kuhn offers two different terminals.
High capacity multi-purpose shredder
Kuhn is extending its utility shredder range with the addition of the three-point mounted 8.3m BP 8300. Featuring bevelled hammer flails with helical arrangement on a horizontal rotor, the machine is suitable for grass, undergrowth, pasture topping or set aside maintenance.
The BP 8300 has non-stop safety release and Kuhn’s Lift Control hydro-pneumatic suspension system.
