Kuhn Farm Machinery has appointed Thomas Sherriff & Company Ltd as a main dealer for its complete equipment range, effective from 1 September 2010.
Operating from six outlets across Lothian, Borders and north Northumberland, Thomas Sherriff already has the John Deere franchise for its farming and groundcare businesses, so the new agreement with Kuhn is complementary and represents a significant strengthening of its business.
Kuhn’s range now includes ploughs, balers, wrappers, sprayers, hedgecutters and drills in addition to their longer established products like grass machinery, power harrows and fertiliser spreaders. According to Thomas Sherriff’s Colin Weatherhead, the new agreement is a major step forward for the company.
Machines like this four metre Kuhn power harrow / drill combination are just a part of the wide range of farm implements now available through Lothian and Borders dealershipThomas Sherriff.
“Kuhn is widely recognised throughout Europe as one of the major players in the farm machinery industry and we are delighted to have formed this franchise and distribution agreement with such an innovative and professional manufacturer,” he said. “This significant venture shows the determination and commitment that both Sherriff & Kuhn have in relation to today’s challenging farm machinery business.”
Thomas Sherriff & Company Ltd, which has its headquarters in Dunbar, East Lothian, also has outlets at Haddington, Coldstream, Stow by Galashiels, Berwick on Tweed and Alnwick.
