KUHN Farm Machinery has appointed Carlisle-based agricultural supplies company Carrs Billington Agriculture as a main dealer for its complete equipment range, effective from 1 September 2010.
Operating from seven depots across Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland and Dumfries and Galloway, Carrs Billington Agriculture already has the franchises for AGCO, Massey Ferguson and Fendt, so the new agreement with Kuhn is complementary and represents a significant strengthening of its machinery department.
Kuhn’s range now includes ploughs, balers, wrappers, sprayers, hedgecutters and drills in addition to their longer established products like grass machinery, power harrows and fertiliser spreaders. According to Carrs Billington machinery director Ian Gate, the new agreement is a major step forward for the company.
“We are now in a position to offer a comprehensive range of implements to livestock and arable farmers alike from a single highly reputable manufacturer,” he said. “Kuhn is renowned for providing quality machinery that combines strength with innovation, and that sits well with Carrs Billington’s wider range of products and services.”
Carrs Billington Agriculture has depots at Annan, Barnard Castle, Carlisle, Hexham, Morpeth, Penrith and Spennymoor and with its wider business interests is major manufacturer and supplier of compound animal feeds, blends and specialist mixtures. Carrs Billington also supplies a wide range of fertilisers, seeds and animal health products together with a wealth of other agricultural sundries.
