By using KUHN's IntelliWrap™ system, the SW 4004 offers greater control of the bale wrapping function. IntelliWrap™ uses sophisticated electronics and hydraulics to monitor the wrapping process and continuously controls the film overlap, allowing total flexibility.
For example: selecting five layers of film
The bale is being covered with three layers
at a 67% overlap
Increasing the bale rotational speed
Final two layers applied with a 50% overlap
Depending on local circumstances, crop conditions and storage periods, the operator simply adjusts the number of film layers required (4,5,6,7,8,9...).
IntelliWrap™ automatically matches this request to the various bale dimensions.
In summary: excellent film distribution with minimal wastage.
When using a conventional bale wrapper that can only offer a limited number of film layers (for example, with 4, 6, or 8) it isn't possible to accurately adjust the number of film layers accoridn to crop conditions and storage periods.
For example, a crop with 60% dry matter content which needs to be stored for four months will require seven layers of film. Using conventional wrapping there is the option to choose either six layers (too few) or eight layers (too many). |
