 Fertiliser spreaders

Fertiliser spreaders

Fertiliser costs can play a major part in terms of farm profitability. There is often a huge potential for cost savings to be achieved by optimising the method through which these fertilisers are applied.

KUHN fertiliser spreaders offer long machine life and high spreading power, and can help to reduce farm input costs as well as improve overall productivity by ensuring the efficient and effective spreading of fertiliser.

KUHN fertiliser spreaders are designed to ensure the highest possible accuracy of application. Adjustment to both the distance and angle of spreading allow the broadcast of powdered, granular and prilled fertilisers with great precision. This can help to increase crop yields and reduce costs at spreading widths of up to 42 meters.

KUHN UK currently offers two main models of fertiliser spreader:

§ AXERA – KUHN’s top of the range fertiliser spreader which is available in mechanical or hydraulically driven versions
§ AXIS – the most recent addition to the KUHN range, available with integrated weighing system

These machines can adapt to all kinds of work including spreading fertiliser across open fields, along field edges and marginal zones, late fertilisation, and application to special crops (vineyards, tree cultivation, market-gardening, etc.).
