Why a European Fertilization Standard?
The European Fertilization Standard was initiated nearly 10 years ago by the EU to create a “passport” for machines with high technical capabilities, covering both optimum crop nutrition and environmental protection. A group of industry experts including farmers, manufacturers and technical institutes was commissioned through the European Standardisation Committee. This group has now drawn up a standard that was launched in 2003.
