Is a fixed bale size of 125cm diameter sufficient for your or your customer's demands? Or do you want to be able to adjust bale diameter to suit specifics needs?
A fixed chamber round baler has 14 fixed POWERTRACK steel rollers. The POWERTRACK rollers compress the crop into a high density and well formed bale with or without a cutting device.

A variable chamber round baler uses a small pre-chamber, formed by 5 belts and 3 rollers, which ensures instant bale rotation and compression. Variable chamber balers are available with or without a cutting device.

The biggest advantage of a variable chamber baler is its capability to produce different diameter bales no matter what the crop. Starting at a diameter of 80cm and going up to 185cm, these balers offer the ultimate flexibility. Large diameter silage or straw bales can be produced to suit the demands of the large scale dairy farmer, while smaller bales are better suited to those with smaller scale feeding requirements, such as horse owners.
1,000 bales with a diameter of 120cm is equivalent to 735 bales at 140cm diameter or just 565 bales at a diameter of 160cm. Therefore, by increasing the bale’s diameter the number of bales produced is reduced, leading to reduced handling, twine and netting/film costs. |
