All KUHN LSB balers feature cam clutch protection on the crop intake components, eliminating the need for shear bolts and the time wasted replacing them. These clutches are located as close as possible to the part they protect and are automatically activated to stop the intake mechanism as soon as a foreign object enters the machine.
When a cam clutch on the Integral Rotor or Power Density system is activated an alarm flashes on the ISOBUS control terminal. By reducing the PTO speed, the intake system clears the obstruction automatically without the operator having to leave the tractor cab.
