Cutting devices - with fast knife exchange |
Where crop chopping is required, KUHN's OptiCut or OmniCut cutting devices can be fitted in place of the standard non-cutting rotor. The OptiCut 10-knife system cuts crops to a minimum length of 72mm and is available on the LSB 870 and LSB 890 models. The OmniCut 23-knife system cuts crops to a minimum length of 45mm and is available on the LSB 1270 and LSB 1290 models. The 23 knives are individually protected against damage from foreign objects. A hydraulically operated valve allows easily selection of 0, 11, 12, or 23 knives according to specific crop cutting requirements.

Inspecting and removing the knives for sharpening or replacement is quick, clean and easily done. The knives are held in a cassette frame that is easily pulled out on the right hand side of the baler. The knives can then be changed in no-time, without the need for any tools.
