KUHN’s mower conditioner for reverse drive tractors offers speed and efficiency in grass cutting.
The FC703RA which is capable of grouping 14 metres of grass into a single swath will be a leading feature of KUHN Farm Machinery’s demonstration area at Grassland 2008.
The FC703RA comprises two mowing units that provide a 7 metre cut and feed a lateral conveyor that groups the entire cut to one side of the machine. Two swaths placed side-by-side have an overall width of 2.5 metres and can be picked up by self-propelled forager harvesters in a single pass.
The machine is designed to operate on reverse drive tractors and provides the advantage of total visibility over the complete mowing area. Central articulation of the two mowing units, as well as hydro-pneumatic suspension, gives the machine outstanding ground following characteristics.
The grass-grouping conveyor is made from a reinforced rubberised canvas that is driven by twin lateral belts. This design ensures long life and low maintenance of the grouper facility.
The FC703RA folds to a transport size of 2.4 metres wide and 4 metres high, allowing quick and efficient movement from field to field. The machine is also available without the grouper (3 swath delivery).
