 Focus: Fuel Economy

Economies in forage harvesting

Reducing the friction of the cutting bar and forage flow in the machine is the key to reducing fuel consumption.

Disc mowers and Mower-Conditioners- Narrow cutter bar: good crop penetration and efficient ejection of cut material to the rear, ensures reduced fuel consumption;
- Adjustable cuting height: 5 to 8 cm (and no lower) for a more vigorous re-growth and improved drying;
- Adjust the suspension for soil conditions and mowing speed: reduce the cutter bar ground pressure for moist, uneven ground, and for slightly higher mowing speeds.
FC 243 TG
FC 283 TG
FC 313 TG
- Low weight and low power requirement;
- Work with new knives;
- Adjust swath board size.
LIFT-CONTROL range
Mower-Conditioners
- Centralised floatation adjustment and LIFT-CONTROL®: easily adjustable suspension to reduce friction, drive resistance and lateral forces;
- Adjust conditioning according to harvest conditions: wet or dry ground, weather forecast, forage type etc.
GF tedders- Less overhang: smaller tractors thus reduced fuel use;
- Asymmetric tines: less friction;
- Fewer tedder passes because of efficient tedding by small diameter rotors;
- For hay dried in the barn: small rotors result in efficient field drying and less need for artificial drying.
Trailed GA with hydraulic rotor drive GF 8521- More efficient power transmission: machine always fully maintained,
- Hydraulic raking height adjustment and pendulum type 3D suspension: control raking height and follow the contours more closely for less friction.

Economies in forage distribution

Silage cutter and feeder- POLYCROK : A semi-mounted version for use with low power tractors.
PRIMOR 2060 H
Straw blowers
- Independent feed rotor reduces power requirement.
- A semi-mounted version for use with low power tractors.
- Poor straw condition: feed rotor in sections for rapid chopping = lower power requirement.
PRIMOR straw blowers and feeders- Feed rotor driven by POLYDRIVE® disengageable belt: low start-up power requirement.
- Optional 300° discharge chute: fewer passes needed to blow straw to both sides of the machine.
PRIMOR 3560 and 5060- Feed rotor driven by POLYDRIVE® disengageable belt: low start-up power requirement.
- Optional central hydraulics: Uses low oil tractors.
Silage cutters, feeders and recyclers MINOTOR, ALTOR and ATHENOR- Separate feed rotor drive(s) with low power requirement.
- Recycler version: a single tractor for several jobs (silage chopping, mixing, feeding and straw blowing).
- Optional 300° discharge chute
- Optional central hydraulics: Uses low oil flow tractors.
Mixer Feeder Wagons
EUROMIX
- Asymmetric auger design with knife position proven to produce a clean cut. Optional “additional knives” to chop long fibres in whole bales - requires less power.
- Polygon-shaped frame speeds cutting: feed is prepared faster
- A second scraper on the auger + wide discharge flap(s): rapid emptying means less feed distribution time.
- Electronic weighing: pre-mixing concentrates reduces the daily feed preparation time.
- Copes with all kinds of forage: bulk ration preparation = fuel savings.
- Compact machine = excellent handling in any building.
- Optional “Bilateral distribution” to dispense fodder on both sides of the machine in a single pass.
- Optional “Double speed gearbox” reduces power requirement and favours “smaller” tractors.
