Optimal seed placement by the double disc drill
- Each pair of drilling discs (400 mm diam) is mounted on a parallelogram frame. This allows the seed to be placed uniformly at the desired depth whatever the ground relief.
- Each seeding element has a pressure of 70 to 80 kg which comes into play in adverse conditions.
- As well as control of seed depth, the press wheel (50 mm diameter) ensures good seed to soil contact promoting even germination.
|
The drilling discs precisely follow the line of the opener discs
Because of the central pivoting articulation, the drilling discs follow the opener disc exactly, even on bends.

Drill closing disc (optional)
- The drill closing disc sits between the pair of drilling discs and the press wheel.
- This disc closes the drill and promotes seed/soil contact ensuring rapid, even germination.
- Its use is recommended on clay soils, in damp conditions and when sowing into vegetation cover.
